The 2nd Intercultural Symposium of the teachers and students 2010 will take place soon (14th – 18th of May 2012)! For this we are happy to welcome the Chilean group in Heidelberg. We are very much looking forward to discussing our individual and our joint projects. In addition to the project discussions the symposium will comprise a presentation of the results of the first German-Chilean doctoral projects (Phd students 2007) as well as two workshops. The program will start with a workshop on Methods in cross-cultural psychology and global mental health research held by Andrew Ryder, PhD (Concordia University, Montreal). It will end with a workshop guided by Johannes Zimmermann, Phd (University of Kassel), which will provide the opportunity to elaborate the joint research project of the Chilean and German doctoral students.

Dr. Bettina Lamm, who is part of the research group “Development and Culture” (University of Osnabrück, headed by Prof. Dr. Heidi Keller), will be chairing the workshop. In her dissertation study Dr. Bettina Lamm realized a cross-cultural comparison of rural Nso children from Cameroon and German children and is therefore experienced regarding the field of cross-cultural research.
